George Weston began his career at the age of 12 as a baker’s apprentice and went on to pursue his love of baking. He climbed the ranks and became a bread route salesman, and in 1882 he laid the foundation for Weston Bakeries.
By the turn of the century, Weston’s bread was known throughout the city, and George Weston was Canada’s largest bakery, providing bread, biscuits and confectionaries across the country. His son shared his love for baking and continued to pursue his vision of becoming the best wholesale bread and bakery supplier possible, growing the company in sales and breadth. Today we are proud to offer a wide range of breads, buns, donuts and more that perfectly fit your foodservice operation.
